Vietnam trade fair: Autumn International Trade Fair to be held in Nov.

The fair is expected to attract about 300 companies from 12 large cities in Asia.

Some 220 local and foreign companies have registered to take part in the Autumn International Trade Fair, which will be held in Hanoi from November 19-25, the event organising board has announced.

The fair is an activity welcoming the 3rd conference of the network of Asian large cities in the 21st century (ANMC 21), which will run in Hanoi from November 18-22.

With around 400 stalls, the fair is expected to attract about 300 companies from 12 large cities in Asia.

A domestic exhibition will outline the potential and achievements of Vietnam in various fields. There will also be two workshops on investment promotion in trade and strengthening of Vietnamese trademarks on the integration road.

Seafood trade fair attracts more than 150 businesses

More than 150 businesses are showcasing their products and services at the Vietnam Seafood Trade Fair opening on April 24 in Can Tho City in the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

Cooperation with the US is better than facing anti-dumping duties

During the fair, there will be trading activities like signing ceremonies for commercial contracts and investment cooperation between Vietnamese businesses and their foreign counterparts.

The “Outstanding Vietnamese Seafood Enterprise” award will be granted to 10 businesses that have declared the quality standards for their products, applied international quality management systems and advanced technologies effectively, and shown excellence in overcoming difficulties.

Another award will be granted to five outstanding fishermen, five farmers and five scientists for their contributions to the development of the Vietnamese fisheries sector.

There is also a seafood decoration contest to raise awareness of protecting the environment and a singing contest to praise the cultural characteristics of the southern people who produce the country’s unique seafood products.

The fair is part of the first Vietnam Seafood Festival which is taking place in Can Tho.
